Korn - Untouchables

yeah this album really had a vibe to it. thats something you can only achieve with a band that has character...
i mean fieldys bass sound - i remember trying to find out how he got "his" sound for so many years, there was no internet database for that ;-)
you had to ask around, rumours came up about what he does. way before anyone knew what a podfarm preset was :)

i remember i got my first 7 string in 98 and it was just pure magic to, except for the big few bands (korn, limp bizkit, deftoens) noone around here had a 7 string.
its a shame all these -core bands are not after something unique anymore. i dont think well ever again have a band like korn...
a band that introduces a whole knew feel in music.

they might not be as intersting to listen to now, but anyone remember them back in the 90ies...

man - thanks ermz - gotta get out my old korn cds now and learn something about feel in production! thanks

gabriel said something about pods... i coudnt get info about that. anyone confirm that?

Another one to add to my references list it seems!
Because of this forum, I've finally found a reason to listen to music I previously would have shunned straight away because the music is absolute garbage.
Gotta love the production reference hunt

Been cracking this album the past hour, still am... chills chills chills chills is what you get when you have a good sound system & good subwoofer... everything is massive! Bass kick guitars nothing is in eachothers frequency while still having that amazing low..

I have to say that I really like Here To Stay, but apart from that I'm all about the first 4 albums. Makes me laugh the amount of people I know that are more into classic rock and shit loved Here To Stay, but hated everything else of that kinda style.

just had another listen to this one and if there is a metal album out there with a fatter low end, i havent heard it
