Lacuna Coil's bassist is the most boring of all-time

Lacuna coil is boring period, its just that people PMS over whatever her name is, she's not pretty and she can't sing.
Oh please, cut the bullshit. Whether or not she is attractive is obviously subjective, and that's great that you don't think she is, and it doesn't matter anyways. But she can definitely sing (which is a separate issue from whether or not you like her vocals). You're just looking for a reason to bash them because people like them.

Green is the best color, deal with it. See how that doesn't work?

and black is the best color, deal with it.

Well, I don't like Yngwie Malmsteen, therefore he can't play guitar. I do like the sex pistols, therefore they can play guitar better than Yngwie Malmsteen. I'm glad opinions = objective fact.

I think Lacuna Coil are overrated..Not my type of "metal".They sound like alternative hard rock to me..
nothing brutal about them, and Christina's voice isn't suited for metal, more of an alternative vocal approach..I think Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy) blows Lacuna Coils singer away..-l-

Angela Gossow blows Cristina away with her singing? Good one!

When did Angela start singing? All I heard was growling. You don't even know it's a girl "singing" unless you look at the lineup. And her life performace is nothing to go nuts about, she just runs around the stage with the microphone pole, that she doesn't even use. Yeah, she looks good alright, but the only purpose for her in the band is to make Arch Enemy stand out among hundreds of other Swedish bands.

It's OK if you don't like LC, but come on let's at least admit that Cristina has a beautiful voice and knows how to use it, too :)

I agree that Cristina isn't suited for brutal metal, but then again, a girl doesn't really belong in a "brutal metal" mand (I don't really like Sinergy, either).

Heh, someone statrted the tread talking about Marco (the base player), and it seems to have switched it to Cristina

Actually your post sounds mighty chavaunistic to me..Of course women have a place in metal..I just prefer agressive vocals with agressive music..This is METAL isn't it?
Chrisitina's vocals are good for a certain type of music but for metal I prefer more agressive vox..
Actually Maudlin of The Well had a female singer with a voice that could melt ice cream.. I prefered MOTW's female vocalist to Scabbia's generic vocals..
Angela Gossow's vocals are far more agressive and METAL that Scabbia's..
I think Chrisitina's vocals are good but generic and lacking soul..
Lacuna Coil just don't do it for me, the music and the vocals annoy me..Unlike Maudlin of The Well, Lacuna Coil's music has no ATMOSPHERE to flow with Chrisitna's vocals..
Lacuna Coil is just generic, alternative hard rock..They're not even extreme..
I don't understand the hype behind this band and what all the fuss is about..

Are you suggesting that they'd have to be extreme to be good? I don't really think that's where they get their popularity, which I think is mostly driven by (I'll admit) Cristina's voice and the fact that the music just comes together pretty well. Yeah, there's really nothing that special about them, but I like to listen to them from time to time.

I didn't say that. All I said was women don't belong in "brutal metal". I don't like to hear a girl screaming her err... boobs off (for the lack of a better term  ).

IMHO, The best place for women in Metal is in gothic or doom metal bands (Tistania, Darkwell, The 3rd and the Mortal and the like). That's where haunting female vocals can create an tmosphere that goes with the music. In fact, I would only listen to gothic metal if there's a girl on vocals, or otherwise it just sounds boring to me. LC has a bit of a gothic touch in its music (I know theay are not gothic), I guess that's what I like about them.

Inever heard of Maudlin of The Well and their site seems to be down, but you got me interested.
