Anyone here like/listen to them? They're gonna be opening for Metallica when I see em :kickass:

I really don't see how they "try" to be pantera, their sound is completely different, their riffs are very different, the vocals are very different, the drums are very different, they don't have many solos, I don't get where all this "they try to be pantera" stuff comes from.

And yes I really like them :)

Fucking love LoG, but they didn't open for Metallica when I went to see them

That was Down, and we got into the arena too late to see the Sword, not that I like the Sword anyway....

I laaaaaaahv Lamb Of God, amazing live band, you wont be disappointed!
The pits absolutely annihilate at Scottish shows, I got used as a meat shield by this fat fuck in the Black Label WoD, haha. unfun.
But yeah, lovely guys, Campbell loves me for giving him a bottle of Buckfast :p
Chris Adler made me cry, haha I was so excited to meet him that I cried, poof I know haha

Yeah they're a good band. I think the people that say "they're trying to be Pantera" think they sound like Pantera. I don't think they sound like them at all, but they do have a similar vibe in some of their songs. Wrath is my favourite album of theirs.

Another example of a band that started off extremely well and turned sour. Burn the Priest and New American Gospel are bloody fantastic slices of deathy groove, and As the Palaces Burn was a decent followup. Ahses of the Wake and Sacrament however, fell extremely short of the standards set by the first albums, containing only a couple of really good songs on each record. Wrath is just disgusting, one of the worst albums I've heard this year - a failed attempt at revisiting their Burn the Priest days whilst trying to be new and different at the same time.

Thats my two cents

See, isn't that better than coming in, saying "They're shit", and leaving?

I've been booted from two bands because i think they suck. why listen to late 90's !3x7r33m! metal when i have a perfectly good copy of killing is my business on my bookshelf?

on a side note, i saw something really funny yesterday. there were these two skinny guys with long hair wearing Megadeth and Iron Maiden shirts walking down the street, and then a few seconds later i saw four fat dudes with shorter hair alot of facial hair one with '90's era james hetfield facial hair and a baseball cap, in otherwords rednecks, wearing metallica, pantera, slayer, and lamb of god. it was funny as shit seeing it one after the other

Im a fan of Lamb o God. The groove just gets to me. Im not a big fan of wrath though, my favourite albums are ashes of the wake and as the palace burns. Sacrament was ok. Thats all ive heard though. Willy Adler fuckin rules, he is the man! Im just really into rhythm guitar players in a non-sexual way.
