I think they're way better than most of the "popular" metal out there now. And they're the real deal.. they're just dudes who like to play metal. Awesome guys, totally down to earth.
Chris Adler is fucking awesome! I have the Killadelphia DVD, and the man's on fire, some jaw-dropping material on that disc... The rest of the band is super-tight as well, and they have some mean, mean riffs \,,/
The singer doesn't do much for me, though. In fact, I find myself listening to a couple of their songs at a time, tops, and then it starts getting uninteresting... Some dynamics in the vocal department would be nice!
I used to be a huge LOG fan, but the band gets kind of repetative after a while. Randy's voice hardly ever changes and the riffs sounds similar. I still listen to them, just not as much.
As the Palaces Burn is a great album, with some truly brilliant songs (Vigil, For Your Malice, The 11th Hour); on the album after that they are just repeating themselves, and without too much conviction. I hope Lamb of God reinvent themselves the next time around. But they definitely know how to write powerful, moving songs on their good days. I respect them for that.
I didn't know I was supposed to "stop" anything. I haven't visited this board in a year. I saw that topic for the first time, and added my comment. You probably do not agree that Lamb of God has any good songs, but that's not a good reason to act belligerent or shed bitter tears. No one is instigating a revolution here, or bringing about the death of good taste in music. No need to overreact.
