Hi everybody--

I don't post here often (maybe once per year or something! :D) but I thought I could contribute some photos to this thread...

Here are a few pictures taken by myself in and around Salzburg, Austria, where I live:

wow!! awesome scenery! me is jealous! i would love to live in the mountains too!

i've been in salzburg, great town!
i loved especially the castle, really awesome...and had a walk in the beatiful little streets in the centre.

Yes it certainly is a beautiful town! I sometimes forget this as I cut through the altstadt on my bike and have to dodge pedestrians and stuff :D

Honestly I'm not really sure. On my bike ride I saw lots of birds obviously, and domesticated animals (including a fluffy bunny rabbit :D) but didn't see any bears or foxes or anything :)

incredible! am i the only one surrounded by wild animals?
but your woods look greater than mine (i'm speaking of those ones around my town)....

There's deer in the woods in this area. I have seen them right outside my house several times. A couple of years ago some guy said he saw a bear around here somewhere (Fat rhymes, yo) but no one else were able to find it. Other than that there's not much exciting wildlife.

i remember when i was a child, and lived in a little contry town, near my actual town, a wolf came down from the mountains and entered the town because of hunger. i still remember that i was frightened, i was about 4-5 years and it seemed a very scaring thing to my childish mind, i was worried at every nightfall for about one month or such, but the wolf didn't hurt anyone and soon disappeared.

Speaking of "wildlife", I saw today at my university a little mouse running up and down the vines on the side of the building... does he count? :D

There are very nice waterfalls here too, but the "style" is slightly different. Great pics, I really like the first one! It makes me want to run on it, as in, throw-myself-to-the-waterfall-and-pretend-it's-a-ladder-and-then-die :p . Not that I want to die, but I would love to run on it. Has anyone done that? I wouldn't be surprised, since there's been a lot of people that have thrown themselves to Niagara Falls hehe. (Obviously from the Canadian side.) There was a case of a guy who threw himself…in a barrel. And survived.
