Any one know much about this amp can it do metal i have chance to get a good deal on the head need to move fast though.

get it dude. great amps. have it fitted with 6L6 if you want to unleash a beast. EL34 sounds more rockish (which can be a good thing)

jup, proud VH100r owner myself. Really different heavy tone and great versatile amps. Just don't thread the EQ like a normal amp. Laneys are bright the trick is to set the treble at 0 and use the Presence control as a treble switch. This way, the amp will sound tighter and less fuzzy

His tone is quite what I would call "brittle" sounding at times but as you said he makes it sound good with his playing! Hes the fuckin' man!!!

sounds good with any setting as long as you push the power amp. If you can run it at 3 (0-10)
if you're running it with EL34 try it with 6L6 for a more modern/deeper voicing.
