Congrats on shedding the old job and picking up a new one Bucko. Hopefully the 12 month contract will grow into something more permanent after you've shown them what a model employee you are .

I had some money put in a CBA account for me soon after I was born. Took it out a couple of years ago after I realised what crappy interest they were paying me. It's now invested at BankSA and doing quite nicely thank you .
