latest emo/rock project almost finished. REAL DRUMS

***posted this a few days ago and got some great response but it was deleted for some reason; probably something to do with the servers being janky around monday***

so after over 4 months my band is finally nearing completion of our new
EP that we're hella proud of. this is the first anyone will hear it,
cause i love the shit out of this forum.

it took about 400 gallons of beer and twice as many nugs; and some
serious pitfalls but we're getting there and i wanted to share what we
have so far.

drums are 100% real, no samples anywhere. recorded in shabby unfinished
basement on my trusty SJC acrylic kit. this is my first project with my
new mac pro and i can say i'm 110% happy with how it's worked out, i'm
an advocate for (higher end) apple products after this experience.

here's some tracks! all feedback welcome, i want this heard on as many
sets of speakers as possible so feel free to comment on any aspect of
this mix/master. there's minimal/no post production on this, we still
have a bunch of fine editing to do but we're over the harder stuff.

I actually liked it a lot. The only thing I didn't like was the snare. It was a bit too loose for my taste. Very nice production though.

thanks man! snare is about as good as i could make it without sampling anything, i might work on tweaking the high end a little to get some more 'crack'

oh my lord this is amazing. i want to get to this level. the vocals feel a tad dry or possibly too forward, but that's just on my laptop speakers with my headphones as a reference.

overall this is amazing.

overal mix sounds good dude, but that snare really does stick out, bit too much reverb for my taste on it to.
