Yeah it's called Law and Order: Criminal Intent, but the format is slightly different in that it focuses solely on the police investigation (or rather, Goram's idiosyncratic behaviour) and doesn't really go into the trial process at all. Plus from memory it hasn't featured any of the cast from the other shows. It's pretty much a separate show from the same production team. I prefer L&O myself because it's somewhat more realistic. Goram's too much of a freak to be a real cop.

I heard he was originally meant to be a character on SVU, but they shelved the idea when they realised he was to much of a freak for the format

Criminal Intent rules simply for the fact that Vincent D'Onofrio is a legend. But I haven't watched it in ages because the character gets on my nerves.

Anyone else watch the show? Was quite good I thought, though I am not really familiar with the details of what actually happened.
Yeah I watched it obviously a lot of the facts were changed. Especially those involing the witnesses. But basic facts such as how it started, contracts,number of exits, a band member died etc. were still the same.
I thought it was not one of their greater episodes they have done much better.
