Have you listened to any newer Amorphis? Tuanelo, or Am Universum? Very nice stuff, not completely metal, VERY PROGRESSIVE and atmospheric.

You should check into them deeper. I have all their cd's. They are very deverse(sp??), they change with each album. Their 1st one, back in 1992 i think, was pure semi extreme death metal, the scandinavian scene at the time.. They really started tending towards Progressive DEATH with their 3rd cd Tales from the thousand Lakes, with death vocals. Then they went for the mix, you know, growl, clean, growl, clean.......From there they evolved into what you DL'ed. At times the lyrics tend to drift, but thats just becouse the band writes their stuff in FINNISH, and it is then translated into ENGLISH....(kinda like opeth)

not like nevermore which is a feel good cd band, well sometimes it is...

Yes, the newer is the best. The 1st one was just typical death metal, then a bit better(on teh guitars) then suddenly, they got good.
