first time recording drums in the new iso room at my house, its small (10' by 12') with some weird angles ...its like 50 percent complete with no doors or final drywall layers yet., i figured would try it anyways and see what happens. Drums are totally dry,i do however have samples in the mix at a 25% blend for some more consistency to the kick, snare and toms.. ssl ch as track inserts on all tracks with (minimal) processing and vintage warmer on the drum group doing very light gain reduction.i know i could have gated the toms more aggressively, there's a bit of wash from the tom mics ill eventually fix....

signal chain

kick-equation audio 104, earthworks kickpad, focusite isa 210/distressor
snare-sm57 isa 210/distressor
tom 1 rack mdu421 presonus pre
floor tom sm7b presonus pre
room neumann tlm127 presonus pre 6ft in front of kick at ear level
overs spaced pair neumann km84's presonus pre's

i used the same pres to keep the sound as consistent as possible for evaluation later....

please take into consideration there is no reverb at all on the drums , guitars have hp/lp filter at 60 and 12k,and bass is 100 percent raw...and no automation on the track yet

any suggestions ???????????????????
