LEPROUS JOINS INSIDEOUT/CENTURY MEDIA FAMILY

Ken's the man, but I wouldn't say he discovered them. They were Ihsahn's backing band before they signed with Sensory, weren't they?

Actually no. Not when they first contacted me. Having said that by the time they recorded Tall Poppy Syndrome they were working with Ihsahn.

Norwegian progressive/avant-garde metallers LEPROUS have announced they have chosen surrealistic American artist Jeff Jordan to create the artwork for their upcoming album, Bilateral, which will be released on August 22nd in Europe and August 23rd in North America via InsideOut Music.

Vocalist/keyboardist Einar Solberg commented: "We are proud to announce that we're collaborating with the surrealistic American painter Jeff Jordan and the Spanish designer Ritxi Ostariz for the artwork on our upcoming album. Jeff Jordan is probably best known from his work with THE MARS VOLTA, and his paintings are highly rated all over the world. Ritxi Ostariz did the artwork for our previous album Tall Poppy Syndrome (released 2009 through Sensory Records) and of course we want him to be part of this new album - Ritxi too is a critically acclaimed designer, and in our opinion one of the very best in his field."

The artwork for the album can be seen below:

Bilateral was mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street (OPETH, PAIN OF SALVATION, DEVIN TOWNSEND, SYMPHONY X).

This band is truly a progressive gem. I use the lyrical content of Tall Poppy Syndrome in my classes to teach graduate students about social comparison theory and the social need for "normalcy" through the elimination of difference. That song is a sociological observation of who we are as human beings. Simply superb...
