Whats up guys!

So, i´ve been listening to this band ALOT recently, and actually dig the whole picture. But, i don´t really know if i should hate on the drums or not. They pretty much sound like superior from front to back. Guitars are axe fx and i´m pretty stunned how it sounds on this record, since i´ve never really liked what i heard from it (veil of maya, periphery, entities etc.)

However, in their studio diary they filmed the drummer recording drums, with his kit all set up and miced (not triggered) up in a small room of a normal house without soundproofing etc. But, it basically sounds like programmed superior to my ears.

I just want to hear your opinions on this one, and regarding the drum thingy.

Thanks guys!

(The quality is the same as on the cd. I´ve got it, so, yeah, haha.)

'Multidimensional' unlike the music.. God damn! But yeah, definitely sounds like Superior! That Kick and Snare, definitely! Sometimes bands do record the KIT, but it doesn't make the cut, that may be the case here and they just kept the footage for promo etc :)

Drums are programmed and the video of Josh playing drums is just them doing prepro with Phil from Entities. Guitars I believe are PODhd- drums were programmed by some guy in Substructure and vox/mastering done with some local guy here that does most of the metal bands around Sacramento.

I know these guys personally and don't have anything good or nice to say about the band or production of their album.

I will say though that there is WAY too much reverb on Howie's vocals.

I was guessing the same thing! :)

Interesting stuff there dude! Pretty funny, i actually know Cody from Entities, and dig their stuff. Cool, that they went to Phils´ place to do pre pro!

I was guessing it was Axe-FX they used for rhythms/guitars. Are you sure it was the Line6 POD-HD (Pro)? I´m actually, for some odd reason, digging those guitars alot! Even though the whole picture is "artificial" sounding. Know what i mean? haha
