Favela of My Dismay
After several hours of plodding through bands that are not worth my time or money, I downloaded a track by this glorious band and All I can say is "boomshakalaka, this is Grand"!!! :kickass: Who owns their album "Pulver"? Regardless if you do or don't, join me in a moment of triumph!

Hooray!

Experimental Black Metal w/ Rockish Elements and overall Kickassery that will leave your balls defaced by utter brutality and anguish!!! Hope you didn't want children.

MS Salmonella

Edit- I experienced several other songs, the verdict? This band is GOD!!!

I got sent this as a promo. The WTF I felt at the time still stands.

On the other hand, the lovely naked lady that appears about 200 times through the artwork is a bit of alright.

They should have considered recording this on something a bit newer than...

Man, I sent my Lifelover CD to a friend who's into WoI so he could review it. I didn't rip it, I just remember listening to it for about 4 minutes and getting seriously creeped out.

How does Konkurs stand up against Pulver? Currently in the midst of a haul with W-T-C. Is this worthy of a blind buy?

Edit - My original post sounds like a shill of Aurel proportions.

I think it is their best.

I echo this sentiment. Konkurs is certainly worthy of a purchase.

I've seen Lifelover referred to as a fucked up, black metal version of Katatonia. Pretty accurate (Though I'd say Forgotten Tomb is the true "Black Metal" Katatonia, especially with Songs to Leave seeming as if it is a a continuation of Discourged Ones, albeit leading down a far darker and harsher path.)

I've always seen them as a black metal version of Kent, and in case you're wondering, that's really not a good thing.
