Having seen them in Zephyrus's sig forever, I decided to check them out. They definitely seem like exactly what I look for in a black metal band - epic sound, mix of synths and guitars, mildly comprehensible vocals, great atmosphere. So...I was wondering, where is the best place to start?

As a point of reference, my favorite black metal album is Emperor - In The Nightside Eclipse.

Think I might get Moon in the Scorpio and Legacy of Evil (stuff from that on their myspace sounded great)

Don't get Legacy of Evil until you've completed the band's discography. It's their worst.

Start with Ad Noctum: Dynasty of Death. Go backwards from there if you want it more symphonic, or go forwards if you want more aggression.

Order best to least best:

1) Ad Noctum
2) In Abhorrence Dementia
3) Moon in the Scorpio
4) The Ultimate Death Worship
5) Legacy of Evil

I like portions of epitome of illusions as well, I'd pick it up if you're digging the symphonic stuff
