I'm curious to what the line 6 Boost + EQ that comes with the fx junkie sounds like for metal before I get the add on. Can anyone post a clip of any samples of a tone that uses it? Thanks...

I think most people that get the metal shop expansion still end up using the screamer. Big Bottom seems worth it for the price alone if you want a half decent pod tone really.

The advantage of the Line 6 Boost+EQ is that it allows more tone shaping if that's what you want. It's better to just compared the Screamer and Line 6 Boost+EQ side by side in person to see which you prefer anyway.
And yeah, I like Big Bottom, but I always end up dual tone-ing it with Diamond Plate (which is pretty good) because they complement each other really well.

A perfect example is Bulb's/Periphery's older stuff where he uses his PODxt. That's a main ingredient to that sound.

I use it a lot actually. you can tweak the midrange frequency and really bring out that squawky sound (like bulb has a lot of). I use it for this purpose more than a boost. I hardly ever use any boost in front of the amp in POD Farm. it gets fizzy really fast and makes the fingers creek on the strings a lot... but that's just me.
