line-6 plugin

I think you have to own a XT, XT Pro, or TonePort to use that plugin....so I wouldn't know:mad:

But, I can tell ya....if ya could buy a TonePort, and get a plugin that has the same models off of the VettaII, XT Pro, and HD147, and included bass models.....then it is probably a pretty cool deal.

Well they have a stand alone vst plugin with all the amp models and some preamp models ,no hardware needed

Are you sure about that?

I looked on Line6's site....and it says Gearbox Plugin requires one of those interfaces, and a USB connection.:erk:
Iwas just there .It comes with a direct box but you dont have to use it.

oh really?

So you can just run a direct guitar signal into the DAW and it goes right into the plugin huh?:p That would be cool.
yea you can listen to a fully processed signal while recording a clean signal, and then go back and apply any amp you want. I guess there are two versions the silver and gold. One has basic xt amps the other has 78 vetta and xt amps.$299 and $499-ouch!

No, he is talking about Gearbox. You either have to have a PodXT, or the accompanying DI box to use as a dongle. You can also use it as a DI, but essentially the hardware just acts as a dongle. If you have a PodXT, you can use it for realtime monitoring, as the processing is done in the XT. I haven't tried them, but surely they just sound like a PodXT would.
