Hey all,
Im considering buying a Pod (desktop kidneybean)...I used my friend's for a short while, and it worked pretty well for what I needed it for. Basically, I need something to cut demo tracks and DI tracks...I re-amp everything afterwards. I just need a minimal tool, and I don't really want to go the plug-in route just yet. I like being able to touch the gadget...
I kind of answered my own question...but does anyone have other suggestions than the Pod? I'm about to pick one up tomorrow, I have a session...I want to do some more research tonight before dropping cash on this.

Thanks

In strongly advise you spend your POD money on a decent interface. That, plus all the FREE and AWESOME sounding stuff out there will get you ways far, plus the POD has shitty converters and your DI's won't sound as good. Being able to touch the gadget is not a very legit reason to spend your money on dated tech, and then again, you can keep touching your new audio interface all you want :D And by using plugins you'll eventually learn to mix your stuff. I sold my POD XT Live a while back to buy a USB interface and never looked back... it's just that I'll have to PM Joey if I want tact now :/

Im just looking for a simple tool to track DIs and give me some type of distortion for scratch tracks. I'm not big on all of this plug ins/digital amp/effects modeling. Its just not my thing. All DIs get re-amped through my stack of heads.

I´am a big fan of POD line6 but...rencently I own a Revalver MK III and I really love it so it has a very realistic sound for demo etc etc. you shoud try cheers!!!
