Line6 POD X3 Pro - Why a 3U unit?

Considering the size of the regular POD X3 they should be able to make a 1U rack version, but the morons at Line6 decided to take up THREE rackspaces makeing the X3 PRO a 3U unit... who the hell wants to spend so much rack space. 1U and i'd buy it but must say the Fractal looks a little more temptning not even sound-wise but size-wise too.

Anyone have any idea for why they made it that clunky and big? Two built-in mic preamps? I..doubt it..
