Okay, so I'm looking to upgrade from my trusty firepod, for something with a little less suck. I'm pretty much set on either the Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 or Saffire 40. My questions are as follows.. Are the preamp emulations in the 56 worth the hefty price tag? Would I be better off purchasing the 40 and sticking the saved money into grabbing an sm7 and a few other goodies?
