Ok, I've been debating EVER putting this up. I finally decided to go for it because I know some of us could use a good laugh. We started the band years ago because at the time we all hated music so much that we decided to do something off the wall and very original. Making fun of everything we hated. However, it backfired and people loved us from the beginning, lol. We played packed shows once the word started spreading, way before we had a cd recorded, and way before we ever promoted for the shows. It became something we had no idea could exist. Then we started promoting, recorded a cd at my house, and even more people ended up outside at venues waiting to get into an already packed room. We had no idea why though. Anyway, here's the link:

The Forgetful Reagans

Enjoy it, hate it, flame me, I'm use to it all. This is the cd we recorded at my house. We only ever recorded one other cd with a few new songs, I'm thinking about putting those up on soundclick as well. Check it out.

There are times when I really really hate it......at these times the singer sounds a lot like fred durst

There are times when I really really like it......at these times the band sounds like Mindless Self Indulgence

Lol. We actually played with MSI when they came on tour, we played right before they did (4 bands on the bill) and the crowd went nuts for us...then MSI came on and the crowd had like no energy left for them. It was kinda funny but also unfair for MSI, I mean...it was their show. They talked to us after show for a looooong time.

Not intentional at all with the Fred Durst sound. We get that a LOT, and it's just how our guy sounds. But he is doing a really whiny voice on purpose, and thats when he sounds like Fred. He doesn't sound like him other than when he does the whiny voice...which is most of the time in this band.

fuuuuuuuuuuuck yea! this shit is fun!:loco: i totally didn't expect 006 to bust this shit out but i'm glad you did. if this was proffessionally recorded you could probably make it big with this shit! people are so stupid, i feel the vibe that you guys were just partying and having fun but people actually go nuts for shit like this and i can even dance to it! i'm gonna spread the word, i think its an instant hit for all MSI fans!!!!!! we all love MSI down in brooklyn cus we is coo-coooo!!!!!!o_O

Lol, we had a *blast* doing this cd. It was extremely fun during the session. I have a ton of out takes too but I can't find them. We have another guitarist (besides myself) that we all told he wasn't allowed to play on this recording because he's *extremly* sloppy. It was funny when I setup the mic on the amp, and he grabs his guitar and goes "you want me to go first?" and everybody looks at him and goes "dude, you aren't playing" HAHAHAHAH. Mostly because he didn't know all of the songs just yet, we had only asked him to join like a week before. But even after he has learned all the songs, to this day, he still is uber sloppy on guitar.

Please spread the word. We are thinking about giving up on this since we have literally gone nowhere with it in the two or three years of doing it. Sure, we pack the place everytime we play, but what good is that if no labels will even take a peek at you? We tell them, "hey, there are lines outside the door of people STILL waiting to get in because the room is already packed to the edge with people singing along to our stuff." I guess even if you have proof of a great fanbase labels don't care anymore. Oh well, heh. We still do it because it's fun as hell to get up on stage and play this stuff.

Cmon guys! I'd like to hear something from EtherForBreakfast, Razorjack, and a few others that always have some input when it comes to music. I do appreciate you guys that already have commented, I just thought more people would say something... :(

 - those tracks are hilarious! The lyrics/vocal approach moreso then anything else. Nice thick guitar sound going on too.

I actually like it, it's different and I'm always up for something out of the ordinary. I hear a lot of really cool influences and personally don't think you should give up, if your having fun and packing out venues then your doing something right!! Labels are very 'scene' and if you keep on building a name for yourselves the word will get to them when they are ready for you. If a label doesn't pick you up at least you don't end up with loads of debt!!

I really appreciate your input Razor. But isn't almost two years of packing venues 5-8 times a month every single month enough? When does it become overkill and turn into quittin' time? My boss was in a band that packed the venues every time they played worse than we do, and he was doing that for about 8 years straight. He finally called it quits a few months ago. I don't want to end up like him. I would like to beleive that something would happen pretty soon. We're going on three straight years of delivering a packed house every time we play. We have never even gotten a word from one single rep. Nothing. Not even a "you guys suck, you'll never get anywhere"...we've sent our cd to every label under the sun that we could possibly fit in. Made friends with just about every loser there is to make friends with. Some not so much losers...

I guess we're all just tired of playing. Not as in bored with it, but just exhausted. Once we realized how much people liked our music, we have been giving it 110% from each of us, and there's 6 of us in the band. 110% the entire time wears people out after a while. I dunno...maybe we should rethink our strategy a little more.

What are you waiting for the record labels to do? What would they do that would make your band that much better?

Seriously...if you can pack the place like you said, just tour like crazy and sell tons of merch. You can get distribution easily nowadays....really ....record labels only get you distribution and give you a huge loan that you really dont want...

The music is great though. Very MSI sounding.

Sounds pretty cool on first listen, drastically different from what I'm used to hearing around these parts...but in a good way... I'll listen more in the morning when I can actually crank it up a little more.
