is it any good? i've heard good things from others... No money and can't find it online though...
I bought it today. :Spin:
I'm almost done giving it my first listen... and I like it a lot. It's my first Nile album so I can't say if it's as good as their earlier releases, but it's still excellent DM.

In truth Annhilation of the Wicked far surpasses all their other still awesome and totally legendary works. I believe annhilation of the wicked is the best deathmetal album to date... as prior to it in their Darkened shrines was my favourite... and this is almost twice as good. If you had to make a list of albums of this year, Nile would be at no.1 and just to show how much more totally awesome it is than anything else N/A would fill 30 slots beneath it. Granted, Nile are not my favourite band, I can just accept that some bands, are alot more killer when it comes to writing songs that meet a purpose. The outro on the fourth track of the new Nile album is absolutely out of this fucking world. Every Note Karl Sanders plays in that melodic slow evil solo just make my heart skip a beat. Funny thing is, track four is probably not the best track on the album. The song "annhilation of the wicked" has the best Nile riff to date in it (that's not ripped off Gustav Holst  (Mars Bringer of War cover thingy :kickass: ) )

Anyway If you havent heard it, hear it!!!!!!!
My parents, who arn't into deathmetal at all, were breathing heavy and emotional after the fourth track I told you about. They both sat down for a minute, in silence until after a while they looked over at my brother and I and said "What the hell was that!!!!" My dad, who is huge fan of Mahler and Wagner, and Bruckner and other such great composers has tears in his eyes. Nile owns everything now. It is undeniable.

How ironic. Sitting next to me as I type this is a bag from HMV and its contents includes a pair of headphones and....the new Nile album, Annihilation of the Wicked! I have Black Seeds of Vengence, In Their Darkened Shrines and Amongst the Catacombs...I hope this one is as good as the others. The main thing I am looking forward to is the production...I hear it is their best to date! Can't wait to relax and listen to this one.

Let me know how it goes... I really dont think I'm alone in my disbelief at how much this album owns everything (EVERYTHING). but then again I have only conversed with one person who owns the album... Still, 100% so far know it is scientifically better than you all.

i downloaded the album, and its definately worth buying... but i do have a few things to pick at about it, of which i'm too lazy to type today.
