I am curious to know what the LLN is because i have no idea and i see references to the LLN all the time. im not sure, but i think they are group of french black metal bands... i know alot of people in the forums think they are over rated, but i want to at least see the spelling so i can google it... or if you guys could link me...thank you for you time...

Good releases on the BM side of things: Mutiilation - Vampires of Black Imperial Blood
Mutiilation - Remains of a Ruined, Dead, Cursed Soul
Belketre - Ambre Zuetki Vuordrevartre
Belketre/Vlad Tepes - March to the Black Holocaust
Black Murder - Feasts

Be warned, you'll see a lot of bandwagon jumping in debates about this group, seeing as their 'kvlt' status has led to various retards fellating them to the point of no reason (which always results in various retards slating everything by them as well <usually without having heard much of it>).

Just know this: They're French, they vary in quality, they like to put limits on the availability of their recordings, Mutiilation rule, some of the ambient stuff supposedly rules but I'm not familiar with most of it.

thanks GoD, thanks for informing me and not being a dick because of my ignorance... i appreciate it...

Meh, I'm feeling helpful, but if it was on Metal Archives I'd probably ban you or something considering they get this thread every couple of hours. Actually, I recall you were banned from there. Well there you go then. :)

i know i was banned... not a big problem... they could easily have linked me and left it alone... but of course everyone there wont answer a simple question.... after that, id leave it alone... or do something... im sorry i dont have very much access to underground stuff like you guys do... i was asking for help and those assholes ban me...

is it possible for you to unban me or do i have to talk to morrigan, or is there no possible way to get un banned.....

Haha, I didn't mean to imply I'm a M-A mod. On the contrary, Metallica are more likely to make a fantastic new album than I'm likely to be appointed as such.

I am huge black metal fan, and usually love the underproduced, nasty, goat-fondling style over anything else, but I have NEVER been able to understand the attraction to Vlad Tepes (and to a lesser extent, Torgeist and Belketre, both of whom, however, I think are better than VT). In my opinion, Vlad Tepes is missing the biggest part of what makes great Black Metal great, and that is the "VIOLENCE". There is nothing there. It basically sounds like really weak rock and roll guitars and drums, with a vocallist that sounds like he is falling asleep while he is singing. Not good, in my opinion. Mutiilation is about the same, I am sorry to say.

BTW, have been busy for a while, but would like to hook up again, if anyone wants to trade some CDR's. Plz check out my list at www.cd-tracker.com/~elephant

Black metal is about minimalism and atmosphere, among other things. Vlad Tepes are really very good when you can actually hear them, and I don't know WHAT you heard from Mutiilation, but they're pretty violent.

Well, I would like to ask you what you think that Vlad Tepes offers in the way of "atmosphere"? Not that I think "atmosphere" is very important, usually I think it detracts, but that goes back to what I look for in black metal, know what I mean? Either way, I have two Mutiilation albums, Vampires of Black Imperial Blood, and another one which title eludes me at this time, neither one of them impressed me much. The one word that would describe them certainly would not be violent. But, opinions are like assholes, no?

Anyway, I see you are from Lowell. If you are ever in Woburn, MA, please come by for breakfast or lunch at my deli, called the Deli Connection, 161 Merrimac Street, Woburn, MA, 01801.

I think we just have different visions of black metal.

Yeah Mutiilation is quite possibly the most genuinly dark and violent black metal I've ever heard. Their first two albums are brillant, with Remains... being one of the best black metal albums I've ever heard. For their newer works, Black Mellinium isn't that impressive, but Majestas Leprosus was a very solid album, though nowhere near their original works.

Vlad Tepes is wierd. Their sound is strange, almost goofy, but not intentionally so. It's strange but enjoyable...
