ok so i just got logic pro 7.2

i hate reading manuals so i'm attempting to just learn as i go. apparantly it's not working but even a brief dig into the manual i can't find this answer.

i use DKFH 2 and installed it and i checked the vst file is in the audio library file under plug ins but 1) how do i make sure logic recognizes it and 2) how do i se it in logic?

ive been using cubase and sonar for years now and know my way around them but i just switched to logic and it's totally different. so someone please help. i'm used to literally just adding a new track as a softsynth and just editing the midi mapping window. i don't think it will be quite that easy with logic.

thanks

logic uses audio units (AU) and not vst unless you have the au to vst wrapper. so that could be the problem. just make sure you install your plugins as au and you should be good. also if your using an intel mac then dfh2 wont work with it last i checked but i could be wrong on that now.

well i am running an intel mac.

but dkfh works, i mean i can open up the phjysical keyoard thing where i load smaplers and stuff.

how do i install dkfh as an au??? the vst folders are there in the hd - library - audio - plug ins - vst folder

logic just wont recognize it as an AU

make sure your fully updated... AU is installed automatically... As far as the intel thing goes I don't know, I use PPC and all works well in Logic.

check here for some logic help http://www.logicprohelp.com/ you have to set up an "environment" to get it to work smoothly. GL

oh forgot to mention there should be a DKFHS environment somewhere in toontracks site

Last time I checked, there wasn't support for DKFH in Logic Pro. That may only be applicable to Superior, but I would check the Toontrack site, like the previous guy said to see if it is compatible.
