Feel free to move to lounge if more appropriate there.

Quiet you! Don't make me yell at you in all caps like I did to Nailz. He was so defeated at my insult to his face, that he couldn't retort.

(which song, Paul?)

heh...

Ozric Tentacles, "Coily" (from the album Waterfall Cities). I'm pretty sure it's in 17/16 for the first half, after the intro.

I remember when they played it on that tour, joking with the (largely hippie) crowd "For God's sake, don't attempt to dance to this!"

 fantastic.

Al really likes Ozric Tentacles. I don't think I've heard anything by them yet. He insists I'd find them boring. So I don't -think- he's played any for me yet. I can't keep track of all the bands he plays for me when we're together.

They're not for everyone, and (with a rare exception here and there) their guitar sound doesn't quite come up to "metal" intensity...but it really is astonishing how many well-known metal musicians really love the band.

I'd suggest Erpland, Jurassic Shift, Strangeitude, Arborescence, Become the Other and Curious Corn as starting points.

See, I love me some prog metal and prog rock, but I can't stand Ozric Tentacles. I've seen them twice live (not by choice), and I just really wanted to die while watching them. It was pure torture.

The local trauma ward was busy that night after the audience failed to heed Ed Wynne's warning

Great song. Great band.
