Does anybody have a pod tone that would be compatible with the podxt that is along the same lines as the past couple of dimmu guitar tones and the newest behemoth guitar tone off of evangelion?

If you don't want to use an ftp service like yousendit I would appreciate an email lukearrants@comcast.net

Cheers

you definetly wont get a pod tone to sound like Evangelion. Im pretty sure they used a bogner and a diezel. So get one of those. Sorry to be a dick, but thats just how it is

I know that for both of these bands they didn't use a pod and using one would only be a very cheap imitation of their sound. However I have heard many people be able to use pods to their advantage. One notable dude is this guy www.myspace.com/mendelb listen to the soundclick he has below the myspace music player

I think one of the big parts of getting a decent POD sound is first realizing that it doesn't really sound like the real deal.

That being said, tho... try the Diamondplate model.

He's on this forum. Look him up and send him a pm.

Yeah there's no way you're gonna get close to the Evangelion sound with a POD. They used a Bogner, a Diezel, and a Sammatone amp together for that album, not to mention the two guys who produced the guitars are insanely good.

Sorry for the bummer.

Yeah, the two guys are insane, and those amps were originally used - until Colin Richardson got his hands on it and re-amped the tones into the thin, nasally, occasionally fizzy disappointment that made it onto the album

I'm sorry? I think the guitars on that album sound absolutely crushing. Besides, Nergal is a control freak, there's no way he'd spend all that time shaping the tone and then let someone fuck them up. Where did you hear that Colin re-amped them?

Yeah I agree with you, I don't like the tone on Evangelion at all, the guitar tone on Demigod was a lot better IMO

Can't remember, though I do remember it seeming reliable - I can only hope they were re-amped though, cuz I've usually really dug the tones on albums recorded by the Wieslawscy brothers! (Organic Hallucinosis, The Hellenic Terror)

EDIT: Here we are

the tone on that album fits the mood of the tracks perfectly, IMO...
