Okay the first one is a 3 piece band i believe.. 1 guy with a high voice and a fender guitar, drummer and a japanese lady who does bass (fender) as and sings as well.
Someone actually posted the video here but i lost track of it.. title had something in it like "teleplastic something something".

Also, it was not metal.. more rock, but weird.

Next one, a friend send me a video of a band that sounded a bit like korn.. it was about 3-4 years ago.
He send me that because they were playing on diezel amps (in the vid as well) plus caparison guitars.. im thinking dir en grey, but cant find the video.
He thinks it's not dir en grey but another j-rock band.

Right.. well that sums up todays "most useless questions of the day".. but i hope someone can help..

i'm also looking for this japanese grindcore band.. they have two pitbull's on vocals. i'm actually being serious aswell, haha. if anyone knows them, give me a hoot?

I think I might be able to help! Though I mainly listen to lesser known stuff.

First one: 凛として時雨 (Rin Toshite Shigure in romaji).

Second: now this one is pretty hard. ムック (MUCC in romaji) is the closest to Korn I can think of, but Miya doesn't play Caparison AFAIK. He does play a VH4 though. You sure about the Caparison & Diezel combination? I can think of a couple bands that use Caparison and over ten that use Diezel, but none that use both.

Yes, thank you sir! spot on on the first one, and the tune i was on about is "telecastic fake show", i love the mix on that song, amazing... thanks!

I'll email my friend the second one, i do know MUCC but did not think of it.. lol, it might be "libra" he is after.. cheers again ze kink!

edit: can you perhaps a list of your favorite asian metal/j-rock bands? im getting into them more and more just like Rin Toshite shigure, but heavier is cool as well..

My best friend lived in Japan for five or six of the 18 years I've known him. His (not recently updated) list of all-time favourite J bands is:

Despairs Ray
Dir en grey
Kagrra
Luna Sea
Sex Machineguns
X Japan

Note #1: He mainly likes their ooolder material, and has openly hated a few of them for years.

Note #2: I have never been able to get into ANY of those bands, except for a very small handful of songs from recent Deg albums, so don't blame me if you hate 'em!

For some perspective, here's the list of his favourite non-J bands:

Children of Bodom
Crucified Barbara
Def Leppard
Dream Theater
Iron Maiden
Megadeth
Metallica
Nevermore
Pelican
Russian Circles
Wildhearts, The

hmmm, somewhat related... Can anybody tell me the name of a jpop band where everyone (in a music vid) was wearing masks/black clothes, playing in a white space (i think), and the song had a doublebassdrum segway in the middle? I might be wrong on some part of that description but I saw them on youtube a long while ago.

Luna sea is pretty cool, I absolutely love Sugizos signature ESP

Haha, good point. It wasn't maximum, but the gazette and they fill the gap left by whatever band it was.
