Looking for a new guitar

Not sure where to put this but...

I'm looking to buy a guitar to tune to drop C, my budget is around $500-$700.

Was thinking of a Schecter but not sure which model.

Any help appreciated.

No real specifics. I was just going to go by what would have been recommended and go from there.

For drop C I'd recommend something with a mahogany body for killer low end, perhaps try one of these:

Schecters are OK, but definitely not the best you can get IMO, unless you spend closer to £800 for a Blackjack ATX, although those ones are absolutely brilliant. Deans are great for the money. I always say avoid BC Rich unless you want to spend about £500 or over, because that's really where the properly nice stuff starts.
