Hi folks,

for my website Metal Travel Guide ( www.metaltravelguide.com ) I´m still looking for Metal locations in every country - such as bars, pubs, venues, clubs and so on.
The Metal Travel Guide is a world-wide listing of such locations and I´ve just relaunched and updated the whole page - so everyone is invited to check it out and have a look if your fave Metal places in your city or country are already listed.
If they are missing, please let me know - either post your info here or send me a mail via my website! Also if some info is incorrect or outdated let me know.
Thanks a lot in advance! :)

For the Los Angeles, California area, there are a few good venues:

The Pomona Glasshouse.

Their phone number on that site is probably incorrect.
It's an all-ages venue.

Whisky A-Go-Go in West Hollywood.
You could google for exact location and info.

The Troubador

The Galaxy Theatre in Anaheim

Big venue. Free parking. Lots of good metal bands performed there.

The Roxy

A great website for metal shows for the Southern California area: www.moshking.com
They have up-to-date information on upcoming gigs from small local acts to very large bands. I highly recommend this website.

Hope that helps.

oh well, actually it was only one gig, but 4 bands - Tiamat, Pain and those two other less interesting bands :D Was really cool! :)
I was there too. And I was really disappointed. Thank god I got in for free. I would have been even more pissed off if I had paid 21 € for such a poor show... None of the support bands was convincing. Neither were Tiamat. I left after they had played "Whatever That Hurts" - one of the very few good songs. :Smug:

you didn´t like it? I did... but well, lets say I probably knew what to expect - had seen Tiamat often enough during the past 10 years and I had checked their playlist before, so... and I do like Pain too :)
The other 2 bands sucked, thats true - but also here I didn´t expect anything else :D
And btw, Johan Edlund is god! :p

Hehe, well he certainly was the most charismatic and impressive person on stage that night. :p The girl from Theatre Of Tragedy should have taken some singing lessons before entering the stage... Pain sounded rather unoriginal and uninspired to me, like someone hit the repeat button over and over again. :Smug:
Aber hey, über Geschmack läßt sich bekanntlich nicht streiten. ;)
