I haven't spun this in ages. Beautiful track from a brilliant record! Maybe my 2nd fav from Pos behind Entropia. Off hand, I can't think of any songs like this. I'm sure they are out there. If I run across one, I'll report back. FYI for those who don't remember, the next (title) track is also a instrumental, though different.

X-Japan- White Wind. If I recall, this had influence from George Martin who has a hand in Yoshikis new classical cd that's just coming out, but it won't be like White Wind as it's all symphony based. Loved that Jizue, and though I'm not a fan of POS, this was great.

Check out Mark Knopfler's Screenplaying disc. Many of the songs have a similar vibe. Both of the first two Hellecasters' discs have songs that you'll enjoy, although their music is all over the board. You can get everything from chicken pickin' to the Peter Gunn theme to searing lead breaks. Those guys can play.

Love Everwood and that album, too. They have another album, Mindgames, which is killer, too. But you probably knew that. I've never seen anyone mention Everwood on here before. Very under-rated band.

Stuff like Last of the Mohicans is similar.

I can't name anything that sounds like that passage, but I have to say that you sparked a PoS run for me ......The 1-2 punch of Perfect Element & Remedy Lane bring me back to an awesome time in PP history.....

I really miss this band in its original form ......from Entropia thru 12:5, this band could do no wrong in my ears. Thanks for sparking the PoS interest again !!!!!!!!

I LOVE the part of Dryad starting at around 3:30. That sort of pattern building really does it for me too. Maybe that's why Oldboy recommended Anglagard? Because Anglagard is far more angular, quite often, than this sort of music, but they do build some delightful patterns.

What my brain suggested was an instrumental by an old British prog band Twelfth Night, "The Poet Sniffs a Flower."

What it sounds like he's looking for is some great interplay between acoustic guitar and piano. Unfortunately, nothing comes to mind on that front.

The closest I've come is with Superior, but that's piano with electric guitars.
