What are some songs that you think have great, or maybe even classic-grade guitar solos? And what are some of the songs that have some of best solos by the bands Death and Iron Maiden?

I've gathered some songs with great solos already:

Manowar - Blood of My Enemies
Megadeth - Tornado of Souls
Scorpions - Rock You like a Hurricane
Slayer - Angel of Death
Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child o Mine
Arch Enemy - The Immortal

Van Halen - I'm The One (whole song full of brilliant lead stuff, wayyy ahead of its time for 1978!)
Van Halen - Eruption
Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train
Ozzy Osbourne - Mr Crowley
Ozzy Osbourne - Over The Mountain
(almost any Ozzy songs with Randy on guitar)
Judas Priest - Beyond The Realms Of Death
Judas Priest - Painkiller (whole album but especially title track)
Dokken - Heaven Sent (and almost all of Back For The Attack album)
Dokken - Mr Scary
Slaughter - Reach For The Sky
Megadeth - Wake Up Dead
Poison - Life Goes On (Don't laugh haha, it does have a brilliant solo)
W.A.S.P. - The Idol
Pantera - The Sleep
Pantera - We'll Meet Again (off Power Metal, 1988)

And you already said Sweet Child, one of the best ever :)

Hmmmm... some songs with great solos off the top of my head are...
Iron Maiden... all of them!! :D
Megadeth... Whoa... a heck of a lot too.. all of Rust In Peace! Well, except Dawn Patrol :p
In Flames - December Flower
Children Of Bodom... Umm.. pick any song and be amazed :D
Ozzy.. well any stuff... Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee, and Zakk Wylde are all amazing guitarists!!
My brains hurts from working all day.. so I can't think of anymore without really looking!

Although it´s not very difficult to play, this is for me the best solo ever. I still haven´t listened to a solo with the feeling of this one:

Metallica - Fade to Black

i cant belive no one said three of the greatist guitar gods of all time ok if you want good solos just about any song by yngwie malmsteen, just about any song by joe satriani, and just about any song by steve vai.

Satch abnd Vai are great :)

Malmsteen's solos aren't good though in my opinion. Great technical ability, little creative ability. They just aren't memorable except maybe Black Star.

Scorpions - Sails of Charon
Scorpions - Polar Nights
Electric Sun - What is Love?
Lazy - Dreamy Express Trip
Ufo - Rock Bottom (Live)
Bow Wow - James in My Casket
Manilla Road - Mark of the Beast
Winterhawk - Free to Live
Truth and Janey - Birth of the Heart (Live)

Thin Lizzy - Thunder and Lightning
Some Godly solos (particularly "Baby Please Don't Go") from John Sykes and Scott Gorham on Lizzy's heaviest album

Gary Moore - Dirty Fingers
His solo on "Hiroshima" is one of his best ever.

Loudness - Disillusion
Akira Takasaki is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. His work on this album is awsome.

Impellteri - Stand In Line
The guy sounds like Yngwie, but has more feel. If you like early Rainbow, you'll love this.

Scorpions - Virgin Killer, Taken By Force, Fly To the Rainbow, Tokyo Tapes, In Trance
Uli is GOD!!! BUY OR DIE!!

Arch Enemy - Burning Bridges
Sharlee is old school as fuck!

I too found a song with a great solo I can contribute to this topic!

Danzig - "Mother"

I didn't even remember this song having a solo until I heard it last night. It has a very energizing solo!
