is there a vst host (a vst, that can load other vsts), that has a wet/dry feature?

background: I mostly use a multibandcomp on my final bus, but I think its too overprocessed sounding with it, but I`m not satisfied without it too. so maybe 50/50 would be good...

Multiband Parallel Compression is a very powerful tool, but make sure you have linear phase filters or else things will turn bad very quick. UAD-1 Precision Multiband has a wet/dry control though.

you should place it on a send to be able to mix the dry/wet signal, it's a common thing to do

but if you insist in using a vst, use the chainer plugin that I've told you

I`ve always been using the cubase multicomp and I have my presets in there, so I dont think I`m switching..

Maybe that's the problem!
Every project is different, you can't use the same preset for everything.
Try other things, try other comps and settings maybe the suggested method (putting it on a send) helps.

There's a bunch of very good freeware out there. You just have to find the one that works for you. The Cubase comp is not the best comp in the whole wide world, it's good but there are alternatives.

 Rock on!
