Loomis sig Schecter Pics are finally out

Also id like to see a 6 string model for the hell of it, im not big on 7 strings, of corse if i got it with 7 then i could finally play some newer NM songs which would be cool.

i like fixed bridges better. They sound more manly when you do consecutive downstrokes. Floyd roses are cool too, but changing strings can be a pain in the ass. Although playing solos like the one in arise withwhammy bar abuse is a lot of fun (i tried it on an ibanez priced around 700 at guitar center, and i broke a string, and i got yelled at.)

I disagree. Changing strings on a Floyd Rose equipped guitar is fairly simple, imo. I think the biggest mistake people make is that they don't stretch the strings properly (or maybe even at all) before locking the nut for the first time.

It's one of the few sig guitars I've seen that I actually like (the Jackson PC-1 being the other that comes to mind) - I may actually have to buy one of these. Real Floyd, maple neck, ash body, no stupid blade switch, FINALLY a production 7 string I can like!

so im not seeing any tone pots. just 1 volume knob? ughh.

id have to actually play this guitar before i make a valid opinion on it.

but the floyd rose speedloader is amazing.

anyone know if these are active or passive pickups? i dont wanna have to change batteries after playing for 3 hours.

i think this could be a nice guitar. im digging the finish, and the fretboard. im not a big fan of the crosses, but im picky.

looks like a stock tremelo which id probably change. maybe throw on some grover tuners.

could be nice.

EMG's are Active with a capital fucking A. Change those out and we're in buisness. I've been thinking about getting a 7 string for a good while (a Schecter in fact), and I just may have to go for this one now. Very awesome design.

Holy shit, i just noticed the lack of tone pot, that should be interesting... i always keep mine all the way up anyway, so that could be a benefit for me.

I dont think they are speedloaders.

They are active, but ive had the same battery in my guitar with an EMG 81 / 85 / SA all one 1 battery for almost a year now and its still kicking.

its a real floyd

If it's really an ORIGINAL floyd rose, as it says, then its not a speedloader.

Correct. There's no speedloader 7 yet. (I asked.) However, just having an OFR7 kills every other guitar in this price range...

Oh, and the EMG707s are the only EMG I like (I used the 81/89 set for almost ten years, but went back to passives) - the 707 has a nice tone, with just a hint of that EMG sterility...

I've always been a schecter fan, even before I knew about nevermore. this is raw sex in guitar form.

speedloaders rule. i wish they did make a 7 string version, because id love to throw one on the avalanche.

im worried about the tonality of a guitar without tone pots. theres no way to adjust tone other than through the pickups. i dont know.

I will be getting on that! I've already got the first Hellraiser and I love it, so I'm sure I won't be diasppointed.
