I think he maybe meant DANZIG.

Sure, those bands I mentioned might not have mainstream success, but for goodness sakes. These are solid bands who should be doing full US tours at minimum.

No, I meant Manson. I do reviews here and there for a website and they were trying to got his latest to me to review. It could just have been a related company though as after looking at the disc, it does not say The End.

Agreed. They should be doing full US tours.

Manson is not on The End Records. His latest release, The High End of Low came out through Interscope.

Dude, I just said when I re-checked it that it wasn't. I think it was a screw up from the company I was writing for at that moment in terms of the emails.

I understand that. I just wanted to point out the fact that his latest release came out through Interscope.

Btw, change your damn avatar. I look at it and I always think you're screaming when you post.

Simon, can't be that reputable of a "company" if they are in the music business and would even accidentally suggest that Marilyn Manson is on the End. The closest they are to being on the end is some of their ex members being in Danzig.

Care to disclose this "company"? I am not trying to call you out, though it's funny how everyone says "I write reviews for a mag, or a site" but then never seem to want to state what the site or mag is.

Not to throw kerosene in the fire, but I was just thinking the exact same thing. I've been doing that for years (RockHard probably being the biggest outlet I've written for) and never seen anything like that happen.

Yeah, I mean, no dig on Simon at all.
I do think he's a good guy.

It's just with all the online review sites, so many people claim to be reviewers. Many times, it's just nothing more than someone posted a review on Metal Archives, and then that person claims to be "in the biz"

Not saying this is Simon's case, but the lack of disclosure of the site is certainly questionable. Maybe ole' Simon is just being humble.

What happened I think is they do have a connection with The End as I have reviewed one of the side projects of a couple of members of Novembers Doom - These are They once. I ended up purchasing the Manson album instead just for the hell of it after too much back and forth emails, so I'm guessing what happened is they thought Manson was on The End and were wrong about it. I will message you the company name if you're that curious. Reason I'm not gonna disclose it to everyone is I do write film blogs for one of their sister sites still, and I'm just being cautious. The music dept. of the site was rather spaztic towards the end which is part of the reason I moved towards the film side of things.

And for the record, by no means am I stating that I am or was "in the biz" so to speak. It just was a fun website to write for...for a time who I happened to get a lot of free discs, was able to interview various bands and get writing samples in the process.
