Been very quiet on the LYCANTHIA front this year but a lot has had to do with some important line up changes.
There is now two new female members in the band.

Still in the studio recording their new album. Hopefully we get some tunes seeing the light of day towards the end of the year. All good things take time people.:headbang:
 
PARADISE LOST with SIRENIA



It is with great excitement that Just Say Rock will be bringing Paradise Lost to Australia in early 2010. Having just released their 12th album, Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us, the band will be touring in support of their latest opus and thankfully Australia will get to witness the unique blend of gothic / dark wave metal that is Paradise Lost. Furthermore, support will be ably provided by none other than Norwegian band, Sirenia.


Since their conception in 1988, PARADISE LOST have not only founded the genre gothic metal with 1991’s “Gothic”, but also diligently defined and daringly transcended it. From the crawling, harrowing doom of their debut “Lost Paradise” (1990) to the electronic sounds of “One Second” (1997) over to the dark rocking punch of “Paradise Lost” (2005), the band’s entire career has been accompanied by the desire to evolve and stay ahead of musical trends and fashions. “Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us” easily and proudly continues this successful tradition and clearly points out that PARADISE LOST are one of the few outstanding acts working hard and earning their legendary status by the power of the song.

Norway's Sirenia will be providing support for Paradise Lost, having just released their 4th album The 13th Floor. Playing a unique blend of gothic, symphonic and extreme metal, tied together with the female vocals of Ailyn, Sirenia will no doubt win an army of new fans on their first ever Australian Tour.


Paradise Lost and Sirenia will be hitting our shores in February 2010 so make sure you check out two of the most inventive and unique bands in modern metal!

These progressive titans also feature Simone from VOYAGER on guitar and their dark complexed arrangements are a must to experience live!!
Also playing on this evening are female fronted Power Metallers TEMTRIS, true as steel and 80's inspired act THUNDASTEEL plus newcomers to the live scene TERRORENTIAL.
Should be a massive event!!!

Bump for LYCANTHIA's last show of the year this Friday!!! Hope you can make it along.
 
Those that were at our last gig will recall the announcement that Giovanni "Giv" was leaving Lycanthia.

Due to overwhelming family commitments it was not a decision Giv has made lightly and he will be sadly missed. We wish him all the best in the future.

Giv played guitar in Lycanthia from 2000 until 2010. He has laid down his guitar tracks for the new Lycanthia CD, which is currently in progress and will be due for release early 2011.

Lycanthia wishes to continue as usual and we are looking for a new guitarist. Anyone interested please contact us via PM, Facebook - Lycanthia (Official) or Myspace.
