The radio station I work at records acoustic performances with an M-Audio MobilePre. There is this 1k noise present when I record, and I have also noticed it starts going to the monitors when Pro Tools (M-Powered) or any program that uses audio playback is opened.
The computer/mixing console/monitors are all being run into a Furman Power Conditioner.
I read on another forum that I should try and hook the interface into a powered usb hub. It is currently running off USB port power (no external power supply). Any other suggestions? Please don't say buy a better interface, that's not an option
