Mac MIni?

I plan on getting the server one..... which has two 500gb 7200 rpm hdd drives in it. Which i use right now in my main studio computer and it work's fine. But ill see if i have the extra cash to go the ssd route.

Hello there.
Phil have you bought the mac mini? If so, Could you share some info?

My early 2008 mac pro has been fucking me all this year and now i want to change it. I have been thinking to get a mac mini server with 500 hd and a ssd and a owc 8 gb ram to obtain 16... I think that it would be a nice replacement for the pro for 1100 euros less, about 1400 dollars.

I second the SSD option . Run you Os/Daw plugins on SSD keep all your projects/samples externally , drag your projects in one at a time when you work on them drag them out when finished . Upgrade your you memory and that little Mac mini will punch well above its weight .

When you said drag the projects in one... Are you meaning working in the ssd and them store in another one?
