Mac users, OT, but .wmv to .avi??? How to convert???

I have a bunch of vids that I would like to burn to a DVD, but they are in .wmv format. Is there a way to convert them to .avi?? I ask, because iDVD will not accept them, and I cannot burn them to a DVD-R. Thanks.

The free version doesn't convert though...you have to buy the upgrade. But people say it's better for viewing WMV at least.

Don't convert to AVI's though, convert to MPEG2 for DVD Videos. If it's AVI the file will have been converted twice losing more quality.

You can export in Quicktime right?
