hey guys,i have the following problem basically:
i want to record vocals for my band and i cannot do it in my home because they are really loud, and of course there's no sound proof in the room.
i was thinking to do that in a rehearshal place were there will be no strangers evolved and it will be much cheaper and better performing results(there are MANY vocal parts,so i prefer to sing for 2/3 hours and complete 1/2 songs per day)
the problem is that the only way to do that is to take my macbook in the rehearshal place, but my audio interface has firewire and macbooks don't have firewire so im wondering:
1)is it possible to put a firewire connection in the macbook( i read everywhere that you cannot do it,but you never know)
2)if a buy a firewire to USB connector, will i have problems in the final result?
3)will the slow RAM of the macbook have a huge effect in the sound quality?
Guitars will be recorded with a great Imac and will be reamped in a good studio, and the drums will be studio recorded too.
i'm aiming for a great production so i really care for the sound quality.
thanks
