macbook pro superdrive

lately when listening to cds i notice a crackling sound. could this be a fucked superdrive???

i first noticed it a week ago and thought it was a bad cd then after like 5 straight cds of crackling it's getting annoying.

anyone?

no all real cds and listening through headphones. checked jack, tried diff cans. same result.

My experience is that some cheaper d/a converters tend to distort and react a lot worse to peaks and clipping on CDs than others. The soundblaster on my p/c is unbearable for example.

I haven't noticed it much on my mbpo but I don't listen to a ton of stuff straight out of the computer.
