So I'm upgrading to a new MacBook Pro. Only thing I'm stuck on is whether to get a 13" with an i7 dual core processor @ 2.8ghz or the 15" with an i7 quad core @ 2.2ghz. I'll be running Pro Tools 10, Reaper, SSD4, Superior Drummer .etc which I have no doubt both will run easily though I'm trying to figure out whether I'll benefit from the quad core in the future and whether the extra cores will even be properly utilised. Thoughts?

I have the 2.8GHz dual core in my Macbook and to be honest I do wish I had the quad-core at times, usually it's not a problem only having two cores though. I personally would go with the 15inch quad-core.

Still keen to get one of the current gen Macs at the moment. Is Pro Tools optimized for quad core processors yet? And is the 2.2ghz quad particularly better than the dual core?
