Real World's Mad Girl
Well i went down there this saturday and despite paying £22 for the tkt, it was worth it( even though il nino the support band were basically bad clones of machine head)

I think possible the best part of the gig was the fact that even though it was the 'supercharger' tour ( new album) they actually only played 3 or 4 tracks off the new album and the rest was old classics!! and blatantly made my night- especially ten ton hamer!!!! oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headbang:

I was pretty subdued during the gig - didnt go near the pit!!! its weird - i saw them there 2 years ago and at the lost weekend and at both gigs i fell out at the end battered and bruised and laughing my head off!!!! but there was no way on saturday that u would have got me near the pit !! i think i must be getting old - once ur past 21 thats it i thinK! lol

I did enjoy it but actually it wasnt til i got home that i realised quite how good it was!!!!!!! we were listening to the albums and i got that 'oooh ive just seen that live' excitement!!!!!!

Oh yeah - they did their ususal covers set and they covered NUmber of the beast- at which point my mate got all excited and released the air guitar! lol ( rumour has it that they were meant to be getting Bruce Dickinson down to sing on it but he wasnt able to make it ARSE - that would have been great!!)

SO yeah- a great one - except for the wankers on the door that decided that i wasnt allowed to take my bag in because it was full of 54 flyers!!!!! in fact to begin with they were going to take the whole lot and bin them!! ( there were about 200 in there and these flyers are hardly cheap to print off!) fortunately i managed to convince them just to look after my bag on the door.. and i got it all back intact.

YAY i love gigs!!!!!!!

Saw 'em last night at Newport (although Sugercoma must have been on before anybody got in the place).

I thought Ill Nino weren't too bad though, a lot better than Thumb, who went on about their song "i don't mind if you hate me" or something, to which I thought, nope, you're too bland to hate.

Much :headbang: though, especially loved From This Day with the massive FUCK THE REST OF THEM!

From the minute that song began i was waiting for it - OHHH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HEll- actually the more i remember it , the better it gets- maybe its the old age making my mind weak. lmao

Dedicated it to Kerrap! which was kind of them:)

The only thing I didn't like about the gig (apart from me having a dodgy back which kept me at the back of the venue) was that the band dedicated Deafening Silence to the victims of Sept 11th and then followed it up with Davidian, which is iirc about Americans going mad and/or kill crazy (or whatever else happend in Waco).
