Machines of Grace

Well, I just don't know. The last CIIC was such a disappointment, and this one seems to also lack the energy/vibe/dynamics that made me fall in love with CIIC, and Zak's work in general. And the music feels awkard to me. The music doesn't seem to fit the vocal melodies. Its weird.

This seems to be an odd one...

Don't have it myself but asked two of my best friends in Sweden that both have it about their opinions. I respect both of these guys opinions a lot and often buy stuff from their recommendations.

One of the guys (Roger) said it easily was the best cd of 09 so far. He loved every track on it.

The other guy (Klas) told me it was the worst piece of shit he had heard since George Lynch turned hip hop.... Whatever that means...

I guess I'll have to buy it and check for myself. The damn thing doesn't seem to leave anyone "with a blank stare" either way...

I really agree with this statement above. I do like this disc however the energy and vibe is definately not up to par.

I own the Wicked Witch demos which is what this band used to be called before switching to Machines Of Grace. The songs on the Wicked Witch demo that apear on the new album have so much more "oomph" and "energy" to them than the re-recorded versions. Especially in the vocal and drum department.

The song Breakdown on the Wicked Witch demo is so much better than the version on the MOG release.
