Did some people around her not like this band? This new album is pretty sweet. Great riffs at times, and the vocals are great, IMO.

A Plague On This Land

This is the first time I've heard these guys, but I'm really impressed. They remind me of Crisis but more metal and less punk and hardcore.

The way it stands right now, I think the album opens very strong but tapers off toward the end. Could just be it needs more listens.

Worst band I've seen live, ever. But I'll listen to this just because it has received some good marks almost everywhere.

I know their second CD "Deadlands" was the target of much scorn around these parts. However, I've heard good things about their first release, "All Flesh is Grass".

Zod

EDIT: Just listened to "My Name is Silence". Not my cup of tea.

I don't think some of you old dudes (JayK included) would like this. It doesn't sound "core" to me, but it isn't all that traditional.

I'm not saying its an amazing, must-own release; just worth a listen. Probably 7.5/10 from me.

I'm downloading these because I thought some shit on Deadlands was promising, just there came a point where right before I could think "yeah this is sorta cool" something awful would introduce itself and grate upon my very soul.

You can bump this all you like, if that chick is still whining her way through the vocals then I'm heading out (on the highway). :loco:

Cool -- do you guys get music stations on your cable tv? Channel 810 on mine is metal -- right now playing "Piece by Piece". :kickass:

I don't understand. She seems like she's really putting some emotion in her vocals. Maybe the old stuff sucked or something.:u-huh:
