If you remember this great Magna Carta band. They have a new album titled Innocent God. And its easily their best material since Hundred Year Flood. But I am not a fan of their two Inside/Out releases, Impossible Figures and Symphony For A Misanthrope.
For Innocent God they are self-produced and promoted. But rest assured the music, production and silver CD packaging is top notch. The recording band includes Trent and Wayne Gardner as well as Robert Berry for most of the instruments including real drums. The wonderful cover art is by Mattias Noren (hopefully they paid him). You can buy the album directly from http://www.magellanweb.com.
Musically, its all over the board which is typical of Magellan. With rock songs, a wonderful ballad, heavy back-beat songs (like Don Henley), and pop. All include biting and provocative lyrics youve come to expect from Magellan. All and all, a return to their style during Magna Carta and an album I recommend. Unfortunately they don't yet have samples on the website but hopefully that will follow.
