If you were to collect your favourite Opeth tracks on one disc, which tracks would it be (or which are on it)?

Mine would be:

  • April Ethereal (+ prologue)
  • Deliverance
  • The Drapery Falls
  • Forest of October
  • Harvest
  • Face of Melinda
  • Apostle In Triumph
  • White Cluster
  • Apotheosis: BLACK ROSE IMMORTAL

Replying with "All of them" is understandable yet too easy :p

P.S.: I hope this isn't the billionth time a thread like this gets posted (if it is: what's my prize :p)

Forest of October
In Mist She Was Standing
The Twilight is My Robe
Godhead's Lament
White Cluster
The Leper Affinity
Deliverance
The Drapery Falls

Here is my list:

1. The Leper Affinity
2. Bleak
3. Harvest
4. Advent
5. The Moor
6. The Night and the Silent Water
7. Demon of the Fall
8. To Bid You Farewell

Clocking in at a cool 78:55... and I have to hear the Blackwater Park songs in order. Out of any Opeth album, I think that one works the best as a collective instead of individual songs. I mean, Harvest isn't their best "mellow" song, but it perfectly fills the gap that is left when Bleak ends.

Too many good/long songs for one disc..but those I absolutely would need to include are:

"In Mist She Was Standing", "Advent", "April Ethereal", "The Moor", and "Deliverance". I wouldn't include any song of 'BWP' actually, although 'The Leper Affinity' is close to Opeth quality.

One billionth entry:

1. Bleak
2. Deliverance
3. The Moor
4. Fair Judgement
5. Drapery Falls
6. Still Day Beneath the Sun
7. Demon of the Fall
8. Advent
9. Twilight My Robe

Tough choice though: I hate to leave of BWP, Leper, Amen Corner, Godhead's Lament, Moonlapse, Pain I See in Others, Night & Silent Water.

1. The Moor
2. The Night and the Silent Water
3. Moonlapse Vertigo
4. Advent
5. Dirge For November
6. The Amen Corner
7. Forest of October
8. Blackwater Park
