Hey Ya'll...

We're in for a treat this weekend.

I caught the show at the Cricket Pavilion in Phoenix and the boys were BRILLIANT. Bruce sounded awesome. The new stage, the giant Eddie mummy, TONS of pyro and flames. Most brilliant show... I'm in a bit of pain though since there was some incredibly aggressive moshing and crowd surfing (which bordered on the dangerous). The Cricket Pavilion apparently thought that printing "Enter a moshing area at your own risk" on the wristband released them from any responsibility in protecting those of us who were there to watch the band and enjoy the show.

I wonder what the band thinks of the moshing. My guess is they probably would rather people pay attention to the intricacies of the music.

"Enter a moshing area at your own risk"

I guess that is a common moniker on the wristbands they give you when you go down into the pit, that was the same it said in Albuquerque on Sunday Night plus there was something on it about crowd surfing.

Hurry up tomorrow for show 2 of this week and then this weekend in Irvine

May be a common moniker, but I certainly do not remember moshing being really allowed to get as out of hand as it got in Phoenix. Those little bastards thought they were at a festival venue and were launching themselves in the air. Well, my consolation is that the show sounded great. Bruce sounded better than I remember, ever. I wish I could have paid more attention to them and not to the morons barrelling toward me (and not be nursing a couple of bruises and some sore ribs).

I remember Bruce verbally taking down a number of losers. He certainly didn't look too happy when he would glance at the huge mosh area in the middle of the pit.

Maybe you would have been better off in the seats, but then, you wouldn't be able to tell all your friends you were in the pit.

You do realize the pit has some of the worst sound in the venue right?

Never had any problems with the sound in any venue I've been in and I've never had seats (if GA was available). I wouldn't be anywhere else! There is nothing that tops the feeling of being on the barrier, singing along eye to eye with your idols. I wouldn't swap those memories for anything! If I want crystal clear sound, I'll stay at home and listen to my cd's.

Last week I saw Megadeth at Long Beach Arena (not from the pit) and there was such a severe slap back echo coming from the back wall that it was hard to even tell what song they were playing.

Yeah, Long Beach pretty much sucks. I passed on Gigantour since it was at Long Beach and we had already seen Megadeth @ The Grove a few months ago.
