Ok pretend you're in a famous band and you get to programme rage for the night. You get to choose 40 songs (and obviously you can only choose songs that have video clips). GO FOR IT.

Here is mine:

Bon Jovi - Lay Your Hands On Me (New Jersey, 1988)
KISS - Who Wants To Be Lonely (Asylum, 1985)
Cinderella - Shake Me (Night Songs, 1986)
Britny Fox - Girlschool (Britny Fox, 1988)
Dokken - Heaven Sent (Back For The Attack, 1987)
Ratt - Wanted Man (Out Of The Cellar, 1984)
Rhett Forrester - Assume The Position (Even The Score, 1988)
Warrant - Down Boys (Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin Rich, 1988)
Scorpions - Rhythm Of Love (Savage Amusement, 1988)
Slaughter - Up All Night (Stick It To Ya, 1990)

Skid Row - 18 & Life (Skid Row, 1989)
Winger - Seventeen (Winger, 1988)
WASP - I Wanna Be Somebody (WASP, 1984)
Harem Scarem - With A Little Love (Harem Scarem, 1991)
Quiet Riot - Bang Your Head (Metal Health, 1983)
Twisted Sister - The Price (Stay Hungry, 1984)
Van Halen - Why Can't This Be Love? (5150, 1986)
Yngwie Malmsteen - Heaven Tonight (Odessy, 1988)
Dio - The Last In Line (The Last In Line, 1984)
Bulletboys - Smooth Up In Ya (Bulletboys, 1988)

Keel - Somebody's Waiting (Keel, 1987)
Black N Blue - Hold On To 18 (Black N Blue, 1984)
Pretty Boy Floyd - Rock & Roll Is Gonna Set The Nite On Fire (Leather Boyz, 1989)
Vinnie Vincent Invasion - Boyz Are Gonna Rock (Vinnie Vincent Invasion, 1986)
Roxx Gang - Scratch My Back (Things You've Never Done Before, 1988)
Faster Pussycat - Don't Change That Song (Faster Pussycat, 1987)
LA Guns - One More Reason (LA Guns, 1987)
Def Leppard - Animal (Hysteria, 1987)
Whitesnake - Now You're Gone (Slip Of The Tongue, 1989)
Poison - Cry Tough (Look What The Cat Dragged In, 1986)

Vixen - Edge Of A Broken Heart (Vixen, 1988)
Motley Crue - Wild Side (Girls Girls Girls, 1987)
Kane Roberts - Twisted (Kane Roberts, 1991)
Kingdom Come - Do Ya Like It (In Your Face, 1989)
TNT - Tonight I'm Falling (Intuition, 1989)
Tuff - I Hate Kissing You Goodbye (What Comes Around Goes Around, 1991)
Vain - Beat The Bullet (No Respect. 1989)
Danger Danger - Naughty Naughty (Danger Danger, 1989)
Lizzy Borden - Me Against The World (Visual Lies, 1987)
Tyketto - Forever Young (Don't Come Easy, 1991)

Then of course the night gets topped off with all your own videos being played. So Trixxi Trash's sex-charged sleaze metal videos will entertain viewers for the rest of the night kicking off with the controversial banned from MTV version of "Spread 'Em" Hahaha!

Am I the greatest guest programmer ever or what? I'm sure there are plenty of great songs there to entertain most rock fans, and if they don't like the super-glam songs they will still be entertaining because they are so over the top!

:headbang:

I reckon they'd have most of them. They have a pretty big library of clips... I mean they would have received most of those clips around 1990 to play. The only ones I think they probably wouldn't have is Keel & Black N Blue for example... ahh who knows.

But just pretend rage has every video clip in the world, because how are we supposed to know which ones they do and don't have haha. Which ones would you choose.

Well I'd have to think long and hard about whether I wanted to play cool songs or cool clips. Then I'd have to determine which ones have bare or almost bare tits in them, which ones have violence and cars and which ones have the biggest explosions. So it will take a while to do mine.

I actually programmed the metal show on Channel V once.

Great choices Trixx. My highlight would be Forever Young by Tyketto. Great song Great video.
That's one of the videos I haven't seen yet so I'd pick it just so I get to watch it! Plus its a rip-snorter of a song! Absolutely awesome! I love the sound of Danny Vaughn's voice when he sings "Daddy slams the doooor!", unreal!

I wish there would be a night of rage with a playlist like that, it'd be awesome!

Speaking of Tyketto and Mitch Mallow Trixx have you heard anything about the "AOR Congress" that is meant to be happning in Melbourne soon. Something like a big Australia wide get together or aor fans put together by John at wimpwire.com. Ive been hearing quite a few people from Sydney and Brisbane are set to make the trip for AOR overload.

I would play "Prime Mover" by Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction.
Is that the one Zodiac Mindwarp song they used to always play back in the late 80s/early 90s? Cool song, that!

Sigh... remember the days when they'd have a metal special every third Saturday night or so? MTV on Channel 9 used to be pretty good back then too, back when Richard Wilkins wasn't nearly as annoying as he has been since. Thems were the days.

Actually Nightmoves, Sounds, Rock Arena and John Torv's Music Video was where I got my start on watching metal clips on tv. John Torv's Music Vid was good for three or four hard rock clips on Fri and Sat nites - but worth staying up for. He also did the voice commentary on the Kiss - Inner Sanctum tv special that was on ten.

I used to watch Amped and The Heavy Shift all the time and I never saw you on there Gore. Would have liked to see that.

I would just play Priest's "Painkiller" over and over, and pretend there was some kind of malfunction. I might slip Metallica's "One" in there somewhere too. Best. Clips. Ever.

Would like to see the new Iced Earth clips too.
