The Double-Saddleback Butterflyfish

Butterflyfishes are most always found in pairs. They are exceedingly wary of intruders. When threatened, the pair will split up and swim off at a tangent to one another. When the pressure is off, they soon regroup and renew their promenading.

Promenade across the floor,
Sashay right on outa the door.
Out the door and in to the glade,
And everybody promenade.

Step right up, you're doin' fine,
I'll pull your beard, you pull mine.
Yank it again, like you did before,
Break it up with a tug o' war.

Now into the brook and fish for the trout,
Dive right in and splash about.
Trout, trout, pretty little trout,
One more splash and come right out.

Shake like a hound dog, shake again,
Wallow 'round in the ol' pig pen.
Wallow some more, you all know how,
Roll around like an old fat sow.

Allemande left with your left hand,
Follow through with a right-left grand.
Now lead your partner, the dirty ol' thing,
Follow through with an elbow swing.

Grab a fence post, hold it tight,
Womp your partner with all your might.
Hit him in the shin, hit him in the head,
Hit him again, the critter ain't dead.

Wop him low and wop him high,
Stick your finger in his eye.
Pretty little rhythm, pretty little sound,
Bang your heads against the ground.

Promenade all around the room,
Promenade like a bride and groom.
Open up the door and step right in,
Close the door and into a spin.

Whirl, whirl, twist and twirl,
Jump all around like a flyin' squirrel.
Now don't you cuss and don't you swear,
Just come right out and form a square.

Now right hand over and left hand under,
Both join hands and run like thunder.
Over the hill and over the dale,
Duck your head and lift your tail.

Don't you stray and don't you roam,
Turn it around and promenade home.
Corn in the crib pen, wheat in the sack,
Turn your partner, promenade back.

And now you're home.
Bow to your partner
Bow to the gent across the hall.
And 'dat is all.

I showed this to Toby a little while back...check it out:

"This is a video taken in 6000 feet of water. An undersea robot is sawing a 3 mm wide slit -- that's 1/10th of an inch...remember that width -- in a pipeline. The pressure inside the pipeline is 0 PSI while the pressure outside is 2700 PSI, or 1.3 tons per square inch. And then an innocent little crab walks by..."

There's this one kind of crab that has one huge claw...to catch prey they SNAP the claw closed with such force it causes the air inside the claw to compress and heat up to hundreds of degrees, enough to melt steel, and creates a pressure wave that stuns prey near the claw, which it then grabs and eats.

I don't THINK it's a fiddler crab but it might be. I dunno where it's from. Florida? What is that damn crab called? Did I get the physics right?

Is it expensive to keep up a saltwater tank for a puffer?
The tank and the stand were the expensive pieces. But my girlfriend bought those for me. The live rock cost around $200, but again I split that with my girlfriend. Then you need a protein skimmer, and one or two filters, but I didn't buy those. And for enough salt to mix 200 gallons of water, it's right around $50, every 8 months or so. These guys are messy eaters, so you have to clean frequently even with a protein skimmer. Even if I had to buy these things, I feel it would totally be worth the cost, and hassle, because they have a better personality than most people.
