Why on Earth do people hate it?

Because, to put it bluntly, it doesn't sound like Mental Vortex or No More Colour.

Nah. I didnt like it much when I first listened. It was repetitive and boring at times. Songs were too long and riffs were scarce.

But then I heard it again, and let myself be immersed in the dark atmosphere. I listened to the lyrics and let it all settle in... and it was glorious.
